Engineering New Zealand ENVI awards

“Rose took all we had say on board and crafted a relevant and moving poem which resonated with everyone at the event. Rose’s poem was very witty (and garnered a lot of laughs) but the humour was also subtle enough not to detract from the overall message of the poem.”

“We had the pleasure of having Rose Northey perform at our inaugural industry awards The ENVI’s on the 7th of November 2019 at Shed 10 in Auckland. Not only us, but everyone who attended the awards, thoroughly enjoyed and was extremely impressed with Rose’s performance.

Rose is a polished and eloquent performer who puts in a huge amount of thought to ensure she delivers a poem which is relevant to her audience. Prior to the event we met with Rose to tell her about our organisation, the purpose of the awards and what we wanted the poem to encapsulate. Rose took all we had say on board and crafted a relevant and moving poem which resonated with everyone at the event. Rose’s poem was very witty (and garnered a lot of laughs) but the humour was also subtle enough not to detract from the overall message of the poem.

Rose’s poem at the ENVIs went a long way towards setting the tone for the whole awards ceremony. The audience understood that we weren’t just there to celebrate engineering projects but also the people behind the projects and their passion for engineering – no easy feat! Following the event one attendee wrote to us saying “everyone at our table was so taken by Rose Northeys’ performance – I hope you recorded it, she was so fabulous I can imagine it going viral and we’d love to show it to more of our staff”.

We cannot recommend her highly enough -a natural performer who is also a fantastic poet.”
